Well today was simply spent all day coming the VC list I curated over the weekend and applying. Made it about 1/2 way through the list which is a start have a long ways to go. I’m trying to mentally prepare myself for lots of rejection and just straight up no response but I’m hopeful, again because our system just makes sense. Its super tangible and has been experienced by most people. Heck, even people in apartments have the same issue but its with the maintenance person.
So the thought process was this. I combed the 650 or so companies down to about 200? that seem like there was even a chance they would invest. Marketplaces were things they have invested in in the past or actually say it on their thesis. I made a note by all of the companies we could possibly apply to online or by email without a warm intro. These are the priority and then the rest will follow.
The rest is not going to be fun. Direct outreach probably wont work, so you have to try and contact a company CEO or founder that has dealt with that company before and see if you cant get them to talk to you…then if they like you, get them to talk to the VC you are trying to reach. Im really just praying a VC or two may respond to my cold messages and show a little interest. If they actually are interested, then ask them for warm intros to the companies we don’t easy access to. I see why people say this crap takes forever. I see a lot of time being spent on Linked In over the next couple months.
Also need to apply to some local angel investing groups. Cant forget those early on.
