Today wasn’t the best day, but it’s another day forward. Started out the day at the warehouse waiting for the A/C people to show up to fix the one broken unit. Ending up there is a bizarre issue. They say its an electrical issue. The unit is a 208 volt unit but for some reason there is 434 volts coming in. Theres 217 volts per leg when it should be 120 volts (ish). Its like the the wires are set for 3 phase when its not supposed to be. Last week there was a lot of electrical surging and what not. The landlord sent out an electrician who then said the power company needs to put in a new transformer. The power company came out and did something (no one was present to see what happened) but the power is better…but now I have some crazy power coming in. To make it weirder, on the electrical disconnect I found 208 volts on one leg and 75 volts on the other two. Gonna have to call out an electrician. Called my neighbors company…they didnt answer. Left a message, no return call. Fix it Today would come in handy right about now.
Its amazing how something so simple can kill the entire day. Had a meeting with a guy from our provider Facebook ad. BTW, we got 4 leads overnight from our add. Great response but I realized the targeting is a little off because I got a Work from Home Moms lead. We will let it run and see what Facebook does. The meeting I had this morning was with a guy who was a retired electrician. He likes to do some more simple side work and though Fix it Today would be an awesome thing for him. I agree, it would be. Only problem is, he doesnt have insurance. I think this is something I really need to speak to an insurance company about. I’d love to have all of these licensed people doing side work if they have insurance. I need to find an affordable insurance option for them.
Had some email issues for another website, and got that taken care of. Hosting your own email just isn’t worth it. We moved the email over to Zoho which is cool because its free for up to 5 people. This website is a side project of mine and my brother in law. Founders.inc which is a community for founders, entrepreneurs and executives to have other people who understand them. The majority of entrepreneurs and executives deal with issues that most people just don’t understand or can relate to. Having people who are like minded or understand you is a huge benefit.
