Today was a wasted day…in nursing. How can a 4 hour class take up 7 hours in a day? Why do these corporate training things even exist?
Started the day with our developer meeting which went well. Still trying to lock down the referral program to make sure we don’t get screwed. This is a heck of a task and will need to be run by my buddies in the SEO mastermind tomorrow. These guys know manipulation :D. Most of the rest of the day was wasted on nursing.
Once I got home, I had to prioritize some front end tasks for the consumer side of Fix it Today. 10 days to launch and we aren’t fully ready. I have a feeling that most projects are like this. The developers got the credit card setup done which is good but we are still not done on the calendar. The calendar that our entire business revolves off of. No worries, they said it will be done by next Friday. The last day before we launch. I have my faith in them.
Spoke to my guy who is going to start cold calls for me. He is excited and should start tomorrow. Was hoping today but it didn’t quite happen. He wanted a quick run through after doing some homework on our site and thinking over the plan. I was excited to see the planning behind it. We will see how it goes. I’m worried though, even if we can get a few providers per day to sign up, we are going to be short when it comes D-Day. Next week its going to be all hands on deck making calls. I almost feel like I need to go visit companies in person but if you haven’t ever been to a plumber’s office, let me tell you, they aren’t setup to be open to the public.
Gotta work on the servers to get he backup servers ready at the Dallas data center, need to launch an instance with uptime monitoring software (Uptime Kuma), need to finish the rest of the home page that will switch Sept 1. Meetings tomorrow and Friday with marketing and advertising. FML, there is a lot to do.
