Well, Im writing my daily post a little early because I have a meeting later tonight when I’d normally write. I’m meeting with the owner of the company that does out software development. I don’t think I have ever mentioned it, but we (the owners) are not tech people and we rely on other skilled people to help us build. The company we use, we have used for years now on another project. Great people. Meeting up with Aditya at 6:30pm tonight. We meet once or twice a year to see how things are going and catch up. Good people.
So for Fix it Today, I had to get some work done. I felt like I haven’t really done anything that productive on my end for the last couple days due to all of the personal stuff. Well, today wasn’t a ton but we got more business citations done. We are getting backlinks and its looking good. Google seems to like our new pages Scott made for SEO. Too bad I killed the pages though.
Not sure what happened but somewhere over last weekend, something killed or site speed. Our pagespeed.web.dev score has been 77/99 mobile/desktop for the longest time. It died down to 21/64. Something killed it so we had to roll back the site which means I lost Scotts work. I saved the JSON pages from Elementor but for some reason the shit wont upload. I have a designer building a nicer landing page currently then we will reapply Scotts magic.
The new app update should be out on Monday. The new reminders section looks good. I saw the demo on Wednesday but there were still some tweaks to make. Its always tool to see how different ideas come together. The developers put their heads together and usually impress me, but it always needs some tweaks. I’m hopeful that the reminders app can really help us on installs and bring people closer to Fix it Today. Now the question is…do we release the app to the whole US or should we simply advertise it to DFW? What do you think?
