Sept 18, 2024 – We Are Something Different

Well, thanks to the girls making calls, more providers have been registering and calling. We got the new guy up and running but had a bumpy start. Tomorrow is another day, we will see how it goes. Had a couple great conversations today with providers.

So I spoke to a guy named Matt who was a wealth of knowledge to me. He had been in the lead gen industry for 15 years and does all of the lead gen for his family’s plumbing business thats been around for 55 years. He said it took a few looks at the website and a few email reminders but he wanted to talk. I may have to go back on my breakup email. Apparently people just need follow up. Steli told us all this in that Youtube video.

So Matt brought up a good though… We are something different. He said we are not lead gen in his eyes and he’s been doing it for several years professionally then in his family business. We don’t deliver leads, we deliver appointment. Leads are just a phone number and a name and you hope you get some business from it. This is how most of our competition works. We only charge providers when they go out and make money. It was great to hear this from someone else thats been in that industry. We need to work on our provider page to showcase that different and disassociate ourselves from the rest.

Talked to another guy today named Chris who is looking to grow his business. They have focused on commercial and now are getting into residential. He echoed what Matt had told me which is, its feast of famine. People who are busy are really busy and people who aren’t are going out of business. I thought it was really interesting, and unfortunate to hear about people going out of business. Fix it Today, while still in its infancy has the opportunity to try and prop up the small guy who is struggling. We just need to get to them. I have faith in our system, we just need to bring it to light.
